Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Syed Mansoor Agha to receive Delhi Govt prestigious award for Journalism

Governing Council of Urdu Academy Delhi, under the chairmanship of Mr. Manish Sisodia, Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi has awarded Syyed Mansoor Agha with prestigious “Award for Urdu Journalism-2017”. The award carries a citation, memento, shall and Rs. 50 thousand.  It will be confirmed upon him in a fabulous function with other eminent personalities like Mr. Mujtaba Husain, Dr. Firoz Dehlavi, Prof. Khalid Mahmood, Prof. Hanif Kaifi and others. 

Mr. Agha, a reputed journalist for over forty years, started his career from the news desk of Daily Dawat under the editorship of Janab Mohd Muslim. He edited Weekly Dawat for over 4 years, which become popular soon. In 1984 he joined Daily Qaumi Awaz, handled the news desk and contributed articles for 21 years. After his retirement in 2005, he started writing in English also. Radiance Views-weekly publishes his article prominently. He also contributes syndicated weekly column to scores of Indian and foreign dailies and web papers.

Born in a remote dusty village of UP, he graduated from Agra University and joined AMU Aligarh for PG in Political Science. He has the Honour to present  research papers in International Conferences in Macca, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi etc. Joined All India Educational Movement, (founded by Janab Saiyid Hamid as Vice President) and played an important role in the movement. Recently NCPUL published his Urdu book “Paikar e Fikr o Amal – Saiyid Hamid” and “In Memorium: Saiyid Hamid” (English- Indian Education Foundation New Delhi).
