Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. JNMC: Dept of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases to organise advanced course on ‘Interventional Pulmonology’





Vplnews, Aligarh, January 17: The Department of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will organise a five-day Ministry of Human Resource and Development approved advanced course on ‘Interventional Pulmonology’ from March 23 to 27.

Prof Mohammad Shameem (Chairperson, Department of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases and Course Coordinator) informed that the course will be conducted under the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN).

He informed that the International faculty for the course, Dr Jamalul Azizi Bin Abdur Rehman (National Head, Pulmonology Services, Ministry of Health, Malaysia) and National faculties from all over the Country will deliver lectures and provide hands-on-training to the course participants.

Prof Shameem pointed out that the aim of the course is to provide training in clinical care, teaching, and research with state-of-art facilities. “It is an opportunity for the participants to interact with the current interventional fellows, expert faculty and practicing physicians,” he said adding that the details of the course are available on the link, www.acipamu2019.co.in.
