Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. Fish Prasadam at Exhibition on June 8: Talasani

The famous “Fish Distribution” program to mark Mrigasira Karthe will be launched at Exhibition Grounds at Nampally in a grand manner on June 8, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister today said. Bathina Harinath Goud and family members who conduct the fish distribution program for decades have called on the minister at Secretariat here. For several decades Bathina family has been conducting Fish Prasadam program for two days and lakhs of people throng the event to get fish medicine. Harinath Goud has submitted a memorandum to the minister and urged for making arrangements on behalf of the government for Fish Prasadam event.

The minister said that he will conduct a meeting with officials in seven days and take necessary measures for smooth and successful conduct of the event. Since a large number of people from several other states visit the fish distribution program arrangements will be made accordingly, the minister said. More number of counters will be opened this year for the purpose and ensure smooth conduct of the program he said. Even last time the same program was conducted in a successful manner with active coordination of Health, GHMC, Traffic, Revenue, Police, water works, RTC and others, he said. (NSS)
