Indian Army Jawan Manoj Thakur speaks on Kathua, demands strict action

NEW DELHI: Manoj Thakur, an Indian Army Jawan speaking on Kathua and Unnao rape cases demanded strict action against the culprits who did the heinous crime.

In an emotional video posted on YouTube, Thakur said the girl be a Hindu or a Muslim, a Christian or Sikh, all women are our mothers, sisters and daughters.

In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kahtua, an eight-year-old Asifa Bano, was allegedly abducted, drugged, raped, tortured and killed and ruling party leaders attended the rally in support of the culprits in the gangrape and murder case.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, an 18-year-old woman was raped by accused MLA named Kuldip Singh Sengar and his brother.

Crime has no religion and rapists doesn’t belong to any religion and the perpetrators, be it Hindu, Muslim or Sikh, whoever they are, should be punished.

He said that politicians are not calling for justice but rushing to the defense of the accused for their dirty political gains.

The rapist should be give ‘harsh punishment’ regardless of religious and political ideologies.

Here is the video of his speech:

Asifa Bano, who belonged to the nomadic Muslim Bakarwal community, was abducted on January 10.

She was reportedly held in captivity for a week by the accused in a small village temple in the district. She was kept sedated and sexually assaulted once again before she was bludgeoned to death. Her body was found on January 17.
