Trooper kills self in J&K

Srinagar: A trooper shot and killed himself on Thursday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said. This is the second such incident in the district in two days.

Sepoy Shankar Singh of 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) shot himself with his service rifle in Warnow area on Thursday, a police officer said. A case has been registered and investigation started, he added.

Trooper Birender Sinha of the 30 RR had killed himself on Wednesday.
