Judges Press Conference: ‘Impeach all 4 bastards’, says man followed by PM Modi on Twitter

By Muslim Mirror News,

New Delhi: A internet troll followed by non other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter has called “bastards” the four senoir most Supreme Court judges who on Friday addressed a press conference to accuse Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra of bias in the assignments of cases to the top court’s benches.

“Impeach all 4 bastards and also drag everyone instigating judiciary,” tweeted one Alok Bhatt (@alok_bhatt) who has around 3.86 lakh followers on Twitter.

When the twitterati took on him and began writing against him with the screenshot of his objectionable tweet, he appears to have deleted the abusive word from his original tweet. But by the time he did, it was too late. His tweet had till then gone viral on the microblogging website.

Bhatt’s’s statement may have been easily ignored as the ramblings of an apathetic, dissent-hating, Left-hating, Narendra Modi fan, but for a tiny detail. But it is disturbing that PM Modi such abusers and thugs.

This is not the first when it has come to light that PM Modi follows internet trolls who uses abusive languages and openly issues threats to those who criticise government faulty policies.

Earlier, another Twitter user Nikhil Dadhich, who calls himself a “Hindu nationalist” and claims that he is “honored to be followed by PM Modi”, had called journalist Gauri Lankesh – a vocal opponent of Hindutva oppression who was murdered in cold blood few months back – a “kutiya” (bitch) after her death.

Dadhich, a garments manufacturer from Surat, wrote, “Ek kuttiya kutte ki maut kya mari, saare pille ek sur mein bilbila rahe hain (It took a bitch to die a dog’s death, for all pups to howl in the same tune).

The two are in the league of several such right-wing hate mongers who are followed by Modi.

Ashish Singh, an IIT Bombay and IIMP alumnus, a supposed “political strategist and cartoonist” and a Hindu Narendra Modi supporter, tweeted, “Jaisi karni, waisi bharni (you reap what you sow)”, quoting a tweet about the murder, and “After Burhan Wani Gauri lankesh also killed how sad” from his account that is followed not just by the prime minister but also by Ravi Shankar Prasad, the Union minister for law and justice, and Vijay Goel, the former minister of state (MoS) for sports and the present MoS for parliamentary affairs, Alt News reported.

Experts go to the extent of saying that such “people are not really trolls. They are much more important than that, they are the party’s foot soldiers on Twitter”.

Voices keeps raising that why PM Modi follows trolls on Twitter. Recently, award-winning actor Prakash Raj had asked the same. “Some people who are followed by our prime minister on Twitter are so brutal, and we have a PM who has closed his eyes to it,” Raj said, adding that he was “disturbed, hurt… afraid of the silence of my prime minister”.

He was upset when he saw some people celebrating the murder of his friend and journalist Lankesh. But the actor faced sudden backlash from the trolls who took no time to dub him “anti-Modi”.

Modi is among the most popular global leaders on Twitter, with more than 35 million followers. He is a prolific tweeter. The clever social media strategy of his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is regarded as one of the main factors behind the party’s sweeping win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

After a series of objectionable tweet on Lankesh’s murder, people even began a #BlockNarendraModi campaign that created a buzz despite the fact that it did not get the wide support the prime minister’s critics had hoped for.

After several people tweeted that they had blocked Modi’s personal account, BJP IT Cell’s Amit Malviya issued a statement saying that the “PM following someone is not a character certificate” for that person.
