Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

The Kishanganj Centre of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) celebrated Samvidhan Divas (Constitution Day) 

Constitution Day celebrated  

Aligarh, November 27: The Kishanganj Centre of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) celebrated Samvidhan Divas (Constitution Day) with great fervour and spirit at a special function held at the Multipurpose Hall, Academic Block, Kishanganj Centre.

On the occasion, the B.Ed students Amirul Hasan and Aaisha Iqbal, read out the Preamble of the Constitution of India and explained the fundamental rights and duties.

Mr Ghufran Ahmad (Course Coordinator and Programme In-charge) delivered a lecture on the importance of fundamental duties and rights. He emphasised that the fundamental duties of the citizens and in particular the duties to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country are of paramount importance.   

Meanwhile, the Department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU also observed the Constitution Day on the theme of‘Preamble of Indian Constitution and Fundamental Duties of Indian Citizens’. While delivering a lecture on the occasion, Dr Ammar Ibne Anwar (Assistant Professor, Dept of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib) pointed out that the Constitution of India has envisaged a holistic approach towards civic life in a democratic polity. Dr Mohd Usman delivered the constitutional pledge. Dr Mohd Aslam was also present on the occasion.
