Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Recruitment drive for the UG and PG students


Aligarh, November 28: IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Barnala, Punjab carried out recruitment drive for the Under Graduate and Post Graduate students of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus.


The recruitment drive was jointly organized by Training & Placement office (General) and TPO (Industrial Chemistry). Out of eligible 70 students who appeared for the written test, 40 students qualified for the interview. A total 17 students have been selected at the annual package of 3.40 lacs.


The delegation praised the quality of the students and thanked the University administration for invitation and warm hospitality. Prof M. Shakir Chairperson, Department of Chemistry and Dean, Faculty of Science, AMU welcomed the guests while Prof Anees Ahmad proposed the vote of thanks. The drive was conducted by Dr Mohammad Zain Khan (TPO Ind Chem).


The company also shortlisted PhD students from Department of Chemistry for the next round of interview at average CTC of Rs. 75,000 per month. Training & Placement Officer (General), Mr Saad Hameed said that this was the most successful, mass recruitment drive in the department of Chemistry.
