Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Motivational lecture held at AMU Kishanganj Centre

ALIGARH November 28: The Aligarh Muslim University Centre in Kishanganj, Bihar, organized an educational and social consciousness programme with Dr Sajjad Hassan, IAS, as a special speaker, under itsguest lecture series.

In his lecture, Dr Hassan explained the need for education and social consciousness in society for sustainable development. Responding to queries by students regarding career selection, he explained in detail the career making process and urged them to prepare themselves according to the need of the hour.

Presenting an introduction to the guest speaker, Ms Zoha Fatima, Department of Business Administration said that Dr Hassan, who is also an alumnus of AMU, took degrees in science and business administration from AMU and completed PhD at the London School of Economics.

Earlier, Mr Sharique Rao welcomed the guest and highlighted the importance of the awareness programme. Dr Asadullah, Course Coordinator presented a brief report on Centre’s progress. The programme was conducted by Ms. Faiza Najmi, MBA student.
