Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. Dept of Paediatric Surgery to host 4th Annual Conference of IAPS UP UK Chapter

Aligarh, March 29: The Department of Paediatric Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University will soon host the 4th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons (IAPS) 2017 Uttar Pradesh Uttarakhand Chapter in JNMC. The conference is scheduled to take place on April 15, 2017.

Professor R S Channa, Chairperson, Department of Paediatric Surgery, who is also the Organising Secretary of the Conference pointed out that this is for the first time that the conference of this stature is taking place in a Public Medical College and a Public University.

He added that prominent paediatric surgeons from all over the country including Padmshree Prof S N Kureel, Prof Rajiv Chadda and Prof Jaleder Rawat will participate in the conference.

Prof Channa further pointed out that the conference will have deliberations on various issues related to Paediatric Surgery.

“The conference will also have PG students presenting their research papers in a separate session,” said Prof Channa adding that the best papers will be awarded.
