Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. Prof Iqbal appointed as Guest Editor for Taylor and Francis special issue

Aligarh, September 21: Professor Badar Alam Iqbal, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University has recently been appointed as the Guest Editor of Taylor and Francis (UK) special issue on ‘Global Trade and FDI’ . The issue will be published in June, 2017.

Prof Iqbal confirmed that the special issue would contain three sections. “The first section may have about three papers on Global trade, the second section is likely to have about four papers on Global FDI with its role and contribution and the third section shall have about three papers on interdependence between Global Trade and FDI inflows in accelerating the pace of growth and development of the world economy” he said.

Prof Iqbal added that there could also be one or two papers on corruption and its impact on FDI inflows.

“The number of papers on every section may be adjusted on a basis of availability of papers,” said Prof Iqbal adding that the journal is dedicated to providing economic, policy and business analysis of current issues related to transnational corporations, foreign direct investment, institutional innovation, and international development.

He has informed that the submission deadline for this special issue is December 31, 2016 and submissions can be sent in Microsoft Word format through e-mails at . He added that submissions can also be sent to Assistant Editor Jen at

Prof Iqbal has advised people mailing submissions to include an extra page of author’s biography with a 100 words-limit. He has also asked people sending submissions to send recent passport-size photographs and contact information.

People mailing submissions have also been requested to mention, “Paper for Special Issue in June 2017” in their submissions.

Prof Iqbal stated that since every country whether developed or developing always tries to attract FDI inflows to stimulate the growth and keep current account deficit at low ebb and keeping in mind, the increasing importance of trade and FDI inflows in the world economy, there is a dire need to bring out a Special Issue, which would address the major issues relating to global trade and FDI inflows in terms of international growth and development.

Prof Iqbal has been a former Fulbright Visiting Professor, USA; former Ford Foundation Grantee, USA and Visiting Emeritus Professor at IUBAT, Bangladesh. He holds many other important academic positions of international and national repute.
