Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

" Stress Management and Positive Leadership" ,at Training & Placement office ( General)

                                                                        Training & Placement office,( General) AMU organized the  first of its kind for Aligarh Police on the topic " Stress Management and Positive Leadership" ,at Training & Placement office ( General), AMU. Around 200 Police personnel of Aligarh District were present on the occasion, right from SSP, SP, COS, SHOs and Constabulary.  The  objective of the workshop was to  train the  police force on positive leadership and to make them learn how to manage their  stress related to their  day  to day work and personal life, said the  organizer of the workshop, Mr. Saad hameed, TPO, AMU. We always talk bad about the Police, but no body has ever thought their pains and worries in their personal & Professional lives. TPO has picked up the issue and will work to make them more Happier, Healthy and Efficient, said  Mr. saad hameed, TPO.the  SSP of Aligarh, Mr. Love kumar, Highlighted the  importance of these kind of workshops for the  police and  appreciated the  step taken by  Mr. saad hameed. He also said that in the  future, he  would  try  to organize these workshops at the district level.
Dr. Deepak Nandvanshi from Khushi foundation Lucknow and Dr. Nadeem Luqman, amity university , Gurgaon, the  resource persons of the  workshop, displayed the  importance of Positive leadership and  stress management through  innovative and interactive activities .
They also gave the  tips  to  self manage the  stress at their  work places and  in pressure situations, inorder to take  wise and  efficient display of their  work.
Various relaxation therapies were also conducted to de stress  the  build up pressure due to  their  hectic work schedule.
Prof . mehmood S Khan, Dept of Psychology andc Prof. Rizwan Khan, Dept of English also expressed their views on the  occasion. Mr. Saad Hameed, Tthanked the  Volunteers of  Soch, NGO, for their kind support in organizing the  workshop.
Mr. Rajeev Kumar singh, CO City, thanked Mr. Saad Hameed and  his team  for their  valuable  efforts and  concern for Aligarh police . Mr, Saad hameed said that TPO and AMU shall look forward for  more  counselling & training sessions for Aligarh Police and  the  district administration in the  future too .
