Short Term Course on Computer Application under CALEM- UGC HRD programme, Inaugurated at AMU Malappuram Centre Kerala

The state and the Central Government must act more pro actively for the development of the AMU Centres, urged Prof. V.K Abdul Jaleel, former Registrar of Aligarh Muslim University.  He said that the developmental process at each Centre has been very slow and reminded that the centres were envisaged to be full-fledged universities by 2020.
Prof. Jaleel was inaugurating a short-term course on Computer Application at AMU Centre Malappuram. The programme is conducted by the Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management (CALEM) under UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. The course is the second of the kind being organized at AMU Malappuram Centre under the Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), MHRD (Govt. of India).
Prof. T.N Satheesan, Director, AMU Centre Malappuram, Chaired the inaugural function. Prof. Satheesan urged the teaching community to be aware of the latest development in the field of higher education and equip with the latest technologies in teaching learning process.
Syed Usman Ahmad, Resource Person from Computer Centre , AMU Aligarh expressed his pleasure over active participation of the teachers in Course.
Mr. Mohammed Azam Khan, Assistant Registrar , expected that teaching Community will be benefited from the Course.
Forty teachers from different colleges are attending the one-week course, which has been designed to train the faculty members working in minority managed higher education institutions.
Dr. Faisal KP, the co-ordinator of the course welcomed the participants and Dr. Sameer Babu proposed vote of thanks while Raghul V. Rajan anchored the programme.
