Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Prof Ahmed attend workshop on ‘Maxillofacial Trauma and Implantology’


Aligarh, July 12: Professor S S Ahmed, Dr Z A Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University recently attended Workshop on ‘Maxillofacial Trauma and Implantology’ organized by  Delhi  NCR State Chapter of  Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.

During the Workshop, Prof Ahmed lectured on “Role of Miroplates in Mandibular Fractures” in which he discussed the evolution of fixation system and presented research findings in details while highlighting how microplates could be effective means of fixation in the treatment fractures of mandible.

Prof Ahmed presented research data obtained with finite element analysis done by Prof Abid Ali Khan, Prof Omar Farooq and Mr Siddharth at Z H College of Engineering of Aligarh Muslim University during the programme.  

With the help of impressive video graphic findings, Prof Ahmed also demonstrated how microplates were suitable to replace the existing miniplates in mandibular fractures.

His lecture was highly inspiring to the researchers, young professionals and postgraduate students.

Prof Ahmed’s lecture was very well attended and appreciated by delegates, academics, scientists and scholars attending the workshop from various parts of the country.

He has earlier attended many national and international conferences and is recipient of international fellowships and scholarships.
