Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

AMU student shines in CDS examination

ALIGARH July 13: Rajesh Kumar, a final year student of BE Mechanical, Z.H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University has qualified the prestigious Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination and the interview held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 141th Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Kumar, the only student from Aligarh, out of 166 selections this year, has already joined the Military Academy for an 18 month training before being finally inducted into the Indian Army.

Showing profound respect to Aligarh Muslim University’s rich cultural ethos and proudly claiming "Jo Abr Yahan Uthega Wo Sare Jahan Pe Barsega" (the cloud rising from here will rain all over the world), Kumar said that he had great respect for the founder of the University, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his educational mission which inspired him to achieve this success.

Rajesh Kumar has also been a part of the students’ team which has recently developed an international standard Formula Racing Car.
