Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Aligarh Muslim University launched a special cleanliness drive.

ALIGARH June 4: Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys), Aligarh Muslim University launched a special cleanliness drive.

Addressing on this occasion, Maj. S. M. Mustafa (Retd), Principal of the School highlighted the importance of cleanliness in personal and public life and urged the students to help keep their surroundings clean. He said that the youth in general and students in particular have greater role to play in keeping the environment clean and promote the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan envisaged by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi.

Senior teacher and Warden-in-charge of Allama Iqbal Boarding House, Dr. Mohd. Ilyas said that cleanliness is not only our national duty but also all religions have emphasized the importance of cleanliness of body as well as soul.

Programme Coordinator, Dr. Bachchan Ali Khan explained the objective of the cleanliness drive and urged the students to participate in the cleanliness and plantation activities in the School premises. Coordinator Dr. Naila Rashid exhorted the students to make the school clean and green.

Several senior teachers including Ashhad Jamal Nadvi, Dr. Arib Ali Khan, Dr. Faizan Ahmad Khan, Mr. Rajeev Kumar Choudhary, Dr. Yogesh Kumar Agrawal, Mr. Mohd. Farhad, Dr. Sabiha Salam, Mr. Mohd. Shariq, Mr. Najaf Ali Khan and Ms. Alvina Sarah Jacob and non-teaching staff members along with Swachhta Senani Team were present on the occasion.
