Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

" Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari Was A Great Educationist , Writer & Thinker : Dr Jasim Mohammad

Aligarh , 04 May 2016 : A condolence meeting has been held in Media Centre Aligarh on the sudden death of former Professor in English department ( AMU ) and eminent Urdu writer , educationist and thinker , Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari .
Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari was not only an eminent teacher and writer but was also a great writer of Urdu said Dr. Jasim Mohammad while chairing a condolence meeting on death of Prof. Asloob Ahmad Anasri. He said that Prof. Asloob Ahmad Anasri had achieved a high standard in imparting education and his contribution to field of learning and teaching cannot be forgotten.
Dr. Jasim Mohammad said Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari was symbol of that Aligarh where writing and thinking and was on its zenith . He said that Prof . Ansari has credit to publish 33 books both in Urdu and English apart of a large number of research articles and essays . He said that Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari had respect and eminent place in academic and intellectual circle on global level and due that Gorakhpur University had honored him with Ph. D.
AMU Court Member Prof. Razaullah Khan said that though Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari was professor of English but the way in which he rendered services to Urdu language is a history itself. He was member of Governing Body of Delhi Urdu Academy for a long time where he gave a new direction to Urdu literature .
AMU Court Member Prof. Humayun Murad said that Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari was born in 1925 at Saharanpur and had obtained his education in Aligarh Muslim university where later on he joined as teacher in English department. He retired in 1988 and during that period he brought glory to AMU through his writings and creative activities .
In the end Media Centre Aligarh passed a resolution unanimously condoling death of Prof. Asloob Ahmad Ansari and said that his death has caused a vacuum in Urdu literary circle which cannot be filled right now . Dua was also held for peace of his soul .
On this occasion Dr. Mohammad Shahid, Dr G F Sabri, Dr Mohammad Farooque Khan, Deeba Abrar, Dr Furqan, Dr. Aftab Alam Najmi were also present.
