Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

ALIGARH May 7: The resident members of the Mohammad Habib Hall, Aligarh Muslim University, in a condolence meeting held to mourn the tragic death of two resident members of the Hall, Yasir and Izhar, placed on record a deep sense of sorrow and expressed solidarity with their family.
Speaking on the occasion, Provost of the Hall, Dr. Suhail Sabir said that entire Habib Hall is with the families of the two deceased students in this hour of grief and “we will pray Allah raise their places in Jannah and give solace to their family and friends”.
A large number of students and staff members attended the condolence meeting and observed two minute silence.
At another condolence meeting held in the Department of Chemistry, the Chairman of the Department Prof. M. Shakir, along with other teaching and non-teaching staff and students, paid condolences to the families of Yasir and Naman Chauhan, both final year B.Sc. (Chemistry) students, who passed away, Thursday, by drowning in a nearby rivulet. They also prayed for peace for the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
