Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

AMU students felicitate Mr Hameed, TPO

Aligarh, May 28: Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), Aligarh Muslim University was recently felicitated for his hard work in job placements by AMU students from the faculties of Law, Engineering and Management at the office of AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd).

The felicitation was done by AMU Vice Chancellor.

On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts and services of the University’s Placement Cell for ensuring the campus placements of students from various courses.

He also congratulated Mr Hameed for ensuring 100 percent placement in the Department of Business Administration and placement of 700 students of various other courses.

The Vice Chancellor said that it is the responsibility of the university to provide quality education followed by campus placements and AMU is giving results on both the fronts.

The Vice Chancellor urged the students to increase their knowledge and develop the abilities to be executed in the right manner. He also motivated the students to do good in their upcoming challenges of the corporate world.

Mr Hameed said that the placements have been done through events of HR Meet, Recrufest, Mega Job Expo initiated by the Training and Placement Office in order to strengthen the University- Industry interface and to provide mass placements at the door step.

Mr Hameed thanked the Vice Chancellor and the entire university administration for their kind support and guidance to the Training and Placement cell of the university.

Meanwhile, the students, gathered at the function, discussed about further developments and improvements in placement related activities with the Vice Chancellor and the TPO.
