Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

AMU organized a Seven Day workshop on Research Methodology

Sir Syed Hall (South) in with collaboration Department of Physical Education Aligarh Muslim University organized a Seven Day workshop on ‘Research Methodology’ from 22th to 28th May, 2016. The workshop was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Prof. Akhtarul Wasey National Commissioner for Linguistics Minorities-New Delhi and Guest of Honor Prof. Ikram Hussain department of Physical Education A.M.U, Aligarh. Director of the workshop Prof. Mohd Ismail present welcome address and confer the token of love to the guest.
In his Workshop note, Course Coordinator Dr. Mohd Arshad Bari emphasised upon the motive behind this workshop as to improve the research quality. He mentioned aim of the workshop is to enhance new knowledge for enrichment of knowledge in research and ultimately their valuable participation in the sustainable innovation and growth of the University.
He mentioned that in the present day context the experts and researchers should interact and deliberate more often to explore new dimensions of the research activity. Prof. Akhtarul Wasey inspired the participants to acquire deeper insight in to the research process and techniques during the workshop which in turn shall improve the quality of research. Guest of Honor Prof. Ikram Husain appreciate the effort  Director of the workshop Prof. Mohd Ismail and organizing secretaries Mr. Mohd Imran and Mr. Anwar Ali for taking pain to organizing such kind of valuable workshop which is need of the day.  He further mentioned that a detailed study of good quality research journals and books can give direction to research with more clarity and precision, thereby providing meaningful solution to a problem improving the quality life of the society at large.
