Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Aligarh, April 28: The Training and Placement Office (General) in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) recently concluded the Recrufest 16- Mega Job Expo of AMU, which was attended by AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) as the Chief Guest.

While congratulating the TPO (General), IQAC and the team of young and enterprising student volunteers from different courses of AMU on the grand success of the mega job expo, the Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) said that events like these not only provide an opportunity for mass job offers at the doorstep, but also create an ambience of professionalism and positivity among the students.

The Pro Vice Chancellor also appreciated the involvement of girl students in organizing the event and motivated them to come in the mainstream as there is no dearth of opportunities for girls in the job market.

He also motivated the students to join Government jobs for a stable and a rewarding career.

The Pro Vice Chancellor further said that he feels proud that AMU students are concerned about their careers with a focus on positive activities.

He applauded Mr Saad Hameed, TPO (General), for his painstaking and sincere efforts for job Placements of AMU Students.

While thanking the AMU Administration for the required support and guidance to the placement cell of the University, Professor Rizwan Khan, Director, IQAC urged the students to contribute their services for the cause of AMU.

He said that the organizing team of Recrufest 16, headed by him and Mr Hameed went to various halls of Residence of AMU to sensitize students about career opportunities in different fields and motivated them for their participation.

“The students were made aware about the job and Career opportunities in their respective fields under the programme named LET’S TALK CAREER,” he added.

During the presentation of the closing report of Recrufest 16, Mr Hameed mentioned that at least 32 companies visited AMU and 406 students of different courses received job offers.

“The objective of the mega job expo Recrufest 16, was to provide maximum job opportunities for the students of diverse courses of AMU at large scale and to decrease the regional unemployment,” said Mr Hameed adding that another important purpose of the event was to promote AMU in the corporate world as well as in various other fields and open the doors of job opportunities for the students at national and international level.

He also thanked the AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) and the Pro Vice Chancellor for continuous cooperation and necessary guidance to  the  placement cell of  AMU .

Mr Hameed presented the closing report of Recrufest 16, in which he mentioned that 32 visited AMU and 406 students of different courses got offers.

Appreciating the efforts girl students, Mr Hameed confirmed that out of 180 volunteers, 110 were girls who worked with full sincerity to make the event successful. He added that around 140 girls got the job offers in the fair.

Mr Mohd Wasim Akram ,B Tech Final Year student,  Convener of  Recrufest 16, and  Mr Asharraees, Event Manager delivered the vote of thanks.

Meanwhile MBA and BA LLB students felicitated Mr Hameed for 100 percent placement for the students in the Department of Business Administration and for inviting reputed Law firms and LPOs for the placements of Law students. Atleast, 12 BA LLB final year students have been placed in top law firms.
