Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Know about Sir Syed Minority Foundation

Sir Syed Minority Foundation of India is a national leading social organisation established in July 2012 by the students of AMU Aligarh with the aim to work for the Restoration of Minority Status of AMU. In order to achieve its goal,the organisation has conducted various programs and seminars on National Level.Similarly the organisation has conducted national conventions at Constitution Club, New Delhi,Lucknow,Patna,Mumbai, Muzaffarpur and AMU etc for the awareness related to Minority Status of AMU as well as other issues related to muslim community.In this organisation nearly 4000 students as well as teachers professors non teaching staffs and old boys of AMU worldwide are enrolled.Further around 25000 members from different spheres of life are attached from different corners of India.                     
Works of organisation-
(1)The organisation has made a Documentary Report on Madarsa Education of Bihar resulting sanction of Rs 45 crores for modernising Madarsa Education in Bihar.Organisation further suggested to set up a monitoring committee for the same purpose.                  (2)The organisation office bearers met  the MHRD Minister Smt Smirti Irani and requested for the release of sanctioned amount of Rs 134 crores and succeeded in efforts.                                
(3)The delegation of Minority Foundation met thrice with the Union Railways Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu and put demand before him for giving stoppage of different important trains at Aligarh junction.As a result Seemanchal Express got its stoppage at Aligarh jn.The organisation is trying its level best to bring various projects for AMU from central Government  as well as state government like Community Radio,Water Lab,Flying Club and Sports facilities. Apart from this organisation has planned to make a Documentary Report on Modernization of Madarsa Education of Uttar Pradesh. This organisation has been awarded and felicitated in UAE by HE Sheikh Dr Mohammad Saeed Alkindi and AMU Alumnai Association for its humble causes.                      The Organisation also appeals to old boys of AMU in particular and other well wishers in general to come foward to support us in our endeavours.
