Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

NBA grants accreditation to six engineering courses at AMU

ALIGARH April 26: Six academic programmes of the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for a period of five years.
Prof. M. M. Sufiyan Beg, Principal, Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology said that the NBA expert team conducted on-site evaluation of the programmes and the competent authority has approved the accreditation status to six courses run at this College which include B.Tech. (Civil Engineering), B.Tech. (Electrical Engineering), B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering), B.Tech. (Computer Engineering), B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) and B.Tech. (Petrochemical Engineering).
While informing that this NBA accreditation is valid for a period of five years, Prof. Beg expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar and other University officials for their patronage and assistance. He said that this could be possible because of the sincere efforts put in by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chairmen of various departments of study, teachers, NBA Coordinators and students.
