Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

A week-long Sports Fiesta “Zarf ‘16” organized by the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University

ALIGARH April 9: A week-long Sports Fiesta “Zarf ‘16” organized by the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, was inaugurated at the University Athletics Ground by Prof. Mumtaz Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The event, which would conclude on April 15, 2016, includes a cricket match between the students of Computer Engineering and Electronics Engineering, along with other games like Table Tennis, Football, Volley Ball, Badminton and Basketball.
Addressing the students, Prof. Ahmad urged them to participate in sports events as it was very important for the all round development.
Athletic Club President Dr. Tariq Murtaza, along with Sports Incharge, Dr. Yasser Azim, encouraged the students by playing the first ball of the inaugural cricket match.
The sports event is being organized by Amir Pasha, Sports Coordinator under the active support of Mohd. Aqib Khan and M. Muaz Ahamd, Sports Co-coordinator.
Convener Areeb Ahmad and Co-convener Sajjal Khan thanked the Dean for his guidance and support.
For female students, the sports events under Zarf ‘16 will be held at Bibi Fatima Hall from April 13-15, 2016, while the literary and cultural part of the fiesta will start from April 17. The technical part will include adventurous fun events like Paint Ball, Zorbie Fight, Zip Line and Rappelling, which are being organized for the first time in Aligarh.
The sports fiesta is sponsored by 21st century ZHCET-ians and Alig Circle.
