AMU Vice Chancellor feels concerned on Beef issue

ALIGARH February 20: The Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah has taken a serious note of the vicious allegations leveled by Mrs. Shakuntala Bharti, BJP Mayor of the City regarding serving of Beef at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College canteen. He said this is an attempt to whip up communal tension.

It is clarified that only buffalo meat is served in AMU and it would never violate national sentiments in this regard.

The Vice Chancellor has also spoken to Mr. Satish Gautam, Member of Parliament from Aligarh, who too accepted the AMU Vice Chancellor’s stand.
