AMU Minority Status issue : AMU Students condemn Modi Government Stand

Assalamo alaikum.

Very bad news has come from Hon'ble Supreme Court. Today (11/1/16)the Attorney General for India in AMU matter in the Supreme Court has said that they will withdraw the appeal filed by the Union of India challenging the order of the Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad which has held that AMU is established by an act of Parliament and it is not a minority institution and has also held that the amendment to the AMU Act in 1981 is unconstitutional. They want to support the Azeez Basha judgement. It is a diametrically opposite stand taken by the Union of India in the High Court and the Supreme Court. We should all condemn this stand taken by the Modi Government..
