  1. First of all I want to congratulate Lt.Gen.(Retd.) ZameerUddin Shah that under his leadership this new era of Biochemistry has began.Congratulations AMU Biochemistry . I am very happy to see this positive transformation in Biochemistry which had lost its lustre after the retirement of my father. It was my long wish that the legacy of my father whose whole life revolved around shaping the AMU Biochemistry Department and now department is realizing it and is now after a long time taking these positive steps. My father Prof.A.Majid Siddiqui was the founder of Biochemistry department as well as founder of Life Sciences faculty. I hope the whole Biochemistry and fratenity around the globe of Biochemists participates in it and continue the legacy of my father. I will give my full support and will come in the conference and give a presentation and help to take this department to long heights provided I am given full support from the Biochemistry Department. Prof.Qayyum Hussain whom I know very well as we both did PhD under Prof.M.SaleemUddin is a very qualified person to do this. Qayyum bhai is not only competent but a very friendly person and easy-going person.
    With all the best regards
    Dr.Afshan Hashmi
