Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. Chandy to meet HRD Minister Smriti Irani for AMU fund

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will soon call on Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani seeking fund for the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Off Campus in Malappuram district of Kerala.

University Vice-Chancellor Lt Gen Sameeruddin Shah, who called on Mr Chandy alongwith Urban Development Minister Manjalamkuzhi Ali here yesterday said, the Chief Minister has promised to make efforts to get the law amended towards launching a high school in the campus.

The Chief Minister would also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue, if needed, Gen Shah said.

Though, the Malapppuram centre was entitled for Rs 75 crore in the current year it had got only Rs 15 crore so far, he said.UNI PCH CS 1153
