AMU Student Mohammad Shameem dwarf but happy in AMU targeting IAS

Report by :Yasir Arafat Turk

This boy standing beside me is not ten year old kid but quite mature he is, 21 Year old boy. He is called Mohammad Shameem, Actually dwarf. He meets me in Dining Hall of Sir Syed Hall North everyday. He is very very very junior to me, but still he is a good friend of mine and my inspiration too. We smile at each other when we meet. Today, we talked. I came to know he is in B.A. political science. I asked him Do you ever feel discomfort as because you are different from us? He laughed and said Why So? I was born in a land of Tagore, that is called Shantinikatan, how can I be discomfort. I was astonished. His dream is to become an Indian Civil Servant. He said that Civil Service is merely a last option for me to achieve. I wanted to think big but there is nothing beyond IAS. My land gave a Nobel Laureate, I wish to do better than that. And He was confident for this. Hats Off.
