Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

We should promote female students of community to opt for Civil Services : Dr Saleem Mohammad khan

he students of Aligarh Muslim University organised an awareness programme “PAHEL” an initiative for educational upliftment of underprivileged section of society with the help of SOCH… beyond the imagination (A Social Organisation of students of Aligarh Muslim University)
Team of students from AMU are providing information about scholarships & zarrier after 10th & 12th with detailed information of all possible academic fields.
The programme was organised in different schools of  Baramula district in Kashmir.
The team will also provide the information regarding entrance exams in various central universities like AMU, BHU, JMI, JNU etc. Management of mchools assured them to provide information to concern students.
Nasrullah Majeed a team member and graduate student from AMU started the programme by introducing the team members and outlook of the full schedule of programme.
Later Dr Hamidullah Mir a research scholar of AMU expressed the importance of central universities in the career of an individuals.

Amood Gulzar highlighted the   details of academic and professional courses provided in various institutions (Central Universities) of India which was followed by queries session.
Irfan Bashir,Zahid Rasool and Showkat Ahmad were also part of the team. There will be a proper follow-up of the programme in different higher secondary schools in coming days.
‘This year in UPSC exams 1-4 rank was secured by female students so it’s high time that we should promote female students of community to opt for Civil Services ‘said Dr Saleem Mohammad Khan of SOCH.
Dr Danish Suhail said that the initiative PAHEL will not be limited to Kashmir only but a pan India movement will be started to fulfill our social duty as an “Aligarian”
