Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Independence Incomplete without Eradicating Illiteracy: Prof. Farhatullah Khan    

Aligarh 15.8.2015: Though we become independent from British rule in 1947 but still we have to be freed from illiteracy said Prof. Farhatullah Khan while speaking as Chief Guest in the Children’s Academy School on independence day. He reminded that only by education the country may witness economic freedom and without economic prosperity the country will not truly develop. So we should launch mission to spread education in every section of Indian society.  OSD of Jamia Urdu Aligarh Farhat Ali Khan said that to keep our independence intact we should chalk out a strategy against terrorism. He said that our independence will be incomplete without removal of the gender bias and a due place to women in society.  Dr. Jasim Mohammad said that illiteracy is most unfortunate for country and the parents should devote themselves to get educated their children as that will be true freedom to our next generation. He said that education did not only grant freedom of expression and thoughts but also gives a positive direction to individual and society and so we must concentrate on education. Dr. Jasim Mohammad said that we all should carry forward educational mission launched by Saba Khan and Farhat Ali Khan to a new mile stone.  Earlier patron of Children’s Academy School Saba Khan unfurld the national flag and said that only education can truly free our country and for that we have to spread education.  On this occasion students of academy presented many cultural programmes and patriotic songs also.
