Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Professor Mohammad Mobin attend International Conference in Mumbai

ALIGARH ::Professor Mohammad Mobin, Chairman, Department of Applied Chemistry, attended the CORCON 2014 " International Conference and Expo organized by NACE International Gateway India Section in association with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Chemicals, Fertilizers and Petrochemicals and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) at Mumbai. Prof Mobin was the Invited Speaker in the Symposia "Microbial Corrosion and Inhibitors'.


Prof Mobin, while addressing the Symposium, pointed out that Corrosion has a huge economic and environmental impact on all facets of the World's infrastructure. Prof Mobin said that in addition to causing severe damage and threat to public safety, corrosion disrupts operations and requires extensive repair and replacement of failed assets. He informed that in India alone, the loss on account of corrosion is estimated to be around Rupees two lakh crore every year in the field of infrastructure, industrial equipment and other vital installations. He said that with the recent summit between our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the USA President, Barack Obama, corrosion is now the part of the commercial dialogue between the two nations. Prof Mobin informed that to this end, the first round table on the subject was held at CORCON 2014 with the USA team under the leadership of Arun Kumar, Assistant Secretary of Commerce, and the Indian one under Rajeev Arora, Joint Secretary
