National Commission for Minorities (NCM)’s Chairman Release Books on Sir Syed

Aligarh 6.12.2014: Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) and former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Naseem Ahmad has released two books, “Sir Syed aur unki Khidmaat” written by Jasim Mohammad and Sir Syed ke Muntakhab Mazameen compiled by Prof. Razaullah Khan apart of signing on the demand to award Bharat Ratna to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan programme organized by Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC) & The Aligarh Movement magazine today.

In a glittering ceremony, Chairman of NCM Naseem Ahmad has released two books, “Sir Syed ke Muntakhab Mazameen” compiled by Prof. Razaullah Khan and “Sir Syed aur unki khidmaat” written by Jasim Mohmmad. On the occasion he said that Sir Syed was a silent revolutionary who had not only transformed education pattern in Indian sub-continent but also focused on social reforms.

Naseem Ahmad also signed the demand for awarding Bharat Ratna to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and said that contributions of Sir Syed in Indian nation building are not limited to any area. He pointed out that Bharat Ratna will be itself glorified if awarded to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.

On the occasion Convener of the Programme Jasim Mohammad said that there are many misunderstandings about Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. He said that our young generation should be aware about views and contributions of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan which are still relevant.

Prof. Razaullah Khan said that our aim is to publish all books authored by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his speeches and letters, so that the world knows about him. He said that we will achieve communal harmony and social unity by awarding Bharat Ratna to Sir Syed.

On the occasion Prof. Abdul Alim, Dr. Daulat Ram, Ataat Hussain, Koria Kose also expressed their views.
