Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

Chrysanthemum, Coleus & Rose Show participation is open for all : Prof Parvez Qamar Rizvi

AMU NEWS:   The Aligarh Muslim University is going to organize "the Chrysanthemum, Coleus & Rose Show- 2014" from December 9 to 10, 2014 at the Gulistan-e-Syed, AMU. The event will be inaugurated by Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd), the Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University whereas the prizes will be distributed by Brig S Ahmad Ali (Retd), Pro Vice Chancellor, AMU.
Prof Parvez Qamar Rizvi, Member-in-Charge, Land and Gardens, AMU informed that the show is open for participation to all local Institutions, Schools and Colleges, Clubs, Societies as well as individuals. He said that the desirous participants may send their entries to the Coordinator, Gulistan-e-Syed between 8 am to 5 pm on December 8 whereas the entries for cut flowers are required to be sent between 7 am to 8:30 am on December 9, 2014.


Prof Rizvi further told that the brochure containing rules/ terms and conditions may be obtained from the office of the Department of Lands and Gardens, AMU during office hours. He said that Bonsai, Bougainvilleas, Succulents and Cacti shall be regarded as additional entries.
