Prof. Tariq Mansoor is presently serving as the Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Previously he has also served as Principal, J.N. Medical College, Chief Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital and Chairman, Department of Surgery. He is also the member of Medical Council of India since March 2015 for a period of four years. He is product of the first batch of prestigious Our Lady of Fatima Higher Secondary School, Aligarh. During his school days he has served as House Captain as well as School Captain. He did his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. A surgeon by profession with special interest in Breast and Thyroid Diseases, Prof. Tariq Mansoor has 33 years of Teaching and 35 years of Clinical experience. He has 90 publications to his credit and has guided 49 Postgraduate Medical Students for their Thesis as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor

AMU, under dynamic leadership of Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd), VC :Saad Hameed

AMU NEWS:   The Training and Placement Office (Gen), Aligarh Muslim University recently organized the campus placement of a Saudi based IT Company Kamedia Infologics, for the students of Computer Science and Lintas, Mumbai, India's leading Advertising Company for all the final year students of the university.
Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (Gen), AMU said that six students of MCA were selected in Kamedia Infologics whereas two Students each from Women's college and Department of Business Administration, AMU got through the Lintas recruitment drive, with very good packages. Mr Hameed informed that thirty students from the courses like Dip in Engg, M Com, MA (Economics), MBA, M Sc and BA got selected in Marque Impex, a reputed Export house.

According to Mr Hameed, Reputed companies are visiting AMU and are also organizing the off campus interviews for the students of different streams. He said that AMU, under the dynamic leadership of Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd), Vice chancellor is working efficiently to attract more reputed companies in order to provide for the maximum placements of the students.
The Training and Placement Office (General) is also running a placement training program with the objective to prepare the students well for the employment prospects.
